Dear me…
“What if you woke up some day and you’re 65, or 75 and you never got your memoir or novel written; or you didn’t go swimming in warm pools and oceans all those years because your thighs were jiggly and you had a big comfortable tummy; or you were just so strung out on perfectionism and people pleasing that you forgot to have BIG juicy creative life of imagination and radical stillness and staring off into space life when you were a kid? It’s going to break your heart. Don’t let this happen.” A. Lammot
So, I saw this on an IG post and I was like “Ouffff” that was good. That led me to what you’re about to read……. It’s a letter to myself….. I think that it’s human nature to be harder on ourself and try to help everyone else. If you don’t take care of yourself and be kind and compassionate to yourself, you’re not good to anyone else. It’s the first day of 2022. Try something new and write a letter to yourself. I did, and it felt great. It’s harder than you think, seems silly at first, but by whose standards? For me, it felt necessary and I hope you can find the courage to try it. So, here goes…………………
“Dear Me,
I just want you to know how beautiful you are. I know that you haven’t had it easy, but you’ve gotten through a lot and have pulled through. I just wanted you to know that I am really proud of how consistent that you have been with certain things, not all, but enough to change your perception. I want you to give yourself rest when you need it and I would like you to pay more attention to any physical pain that you may feel. I want you to know that the insecurities that you have with your body is O.K. and you’re gorgeous just the way that you are. Please don’t allow anyone to make you feel less than you are and don’t tolerate anyone speaking down to you, anymore. Keep on reaching out to the people that you love, but guard your energy to those who take advantage of you and drain you. I want you to stay on top of your health and continue to listen to your intuition. Keep on learning, keep on reading and keep on doing the things you love. Make this a year of doing and not procrastinating. One of your biggest loves is helping people, communicating and writing. Continue……..
It’s time…… It’s time for you to shine and to become the bright light to help others to go into the direction of helping them to see their own self-love. Dear me, keep on being true to yourself and to your heart.
Feel….. It’s O.K.
Forgive….. It’s O.K.
Keep on holding the vision and passion of being grateful and completely unapologetic for who you are and who you are becoming. I just wanted you to know how super proud of who you have become and looking forward to what life has in store for you.
I Love you!
One more thing, always be thankful for closed doors, remember that they are the gateway to open ones…
